Pixus Technologies, a provider of embedded computing and chassis solutions, has released a new SOSA-aligned Tier 3 3U OpenVPX chassis manager.
Pixus has offered a mezzanine-based version of the chassis manager since 2023, the SHM300-00, which resides underneath the backplane and saves a slot of space. Some customers have the extra space to use a slot and/or are familiar with the VITA 48.2 conduction-cooled form factor. Therefore, we created the 3U slot pluggable version, the SHM300-20. Both use the same 100% USA-based software and firmware.
The SHM300 line of chassis managers is Tier 3 and VITA 46.11 compliant. They also align with the SOSA® Technical Standard and Hardware Management Card (HMC) specifications. Various versions of the SHM300 have been fully deployed in key US defense programs.
Pixus develops OpenVPX and other VITA-based backplane, enclosure, and chassis manager solutions. The company also provides customized and specialty OpenVPX designs, as well as various ruggedized solutions.
