Kernel real embedded:
SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT KIT FREE

July 2016

The Linux kernel, regardless of the version, is a set of SW features,
taken from the web that no one can guarantee. It is continuously
updated with no guarantee of continuity of the functions,
troubleshooting or compatibility with older versions. Practically while
you’re developing your applications you see that cards on the table
change, and the development becomes very complex and uncertain.

The BSP is that part of SW that “superimposed” on the kernel and
adapts it to the particular HW board, the target of the programming
(an SBC or other).

The SDK is the complex set of SW that allows you to program user
code, configure the operating system “kernel” with the appropriate
video, set the boot parameters, select the drivers for specific devices
and their configurations etc.
