Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) Announces New Rugged Single Board Computers Powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra (Series 3) Processors
Extreme Engineering Solutions, Inc. (X-ES), a leader in the design and manufacture of rugged embedded computing solutions, has announced the integration of the new Intel® Core™ Ultra (Series 3) processors—formerly code-named “Panther Lake”—into its latest line of high-performance Single Board Computers (SBCs).
Leveraging Intel’s cutting-edge 18A process technology, these new SBCs, including the flagship XPedite8370 3U VPX module, are engineered to deliver unprecedented AI acceleration and computational efficiency for mission-critical applications. The Intel Core Ultra (Series 3) architecture features a three-tier hybrid core design that combines performance, efficiency, and low-power cores to optimize mixed-criticality workloads in the most demanding environments.
“By incorporating Intel’s 1.8 nm-class technology, we are providing our customers with a significant leap in performance-per-watt,” said a spokesperson for X-ES. “These platforms are purpose-built for real-time data processing and edge AI applications where reliability in harsh conditions is non-negotiable.”
The new product line supports up to 64 GB of LPDDR5 SDRAM with in-band ECC and features integrated Microchip PolarFire™ SoC FPGAs for enhanced security and custom logic. Designed for seamless integration, the modules align with the Sensor Open System Architecture™ (SOSA) technical standard, ensuring interoperability and rapid deployment for defense and aerospace sectors.
